PVC foil Durofol the offsets formats blister trays
Company Auttep, spol sr.o. wholesome process, technical and food non-softened PVC films. Foil materials produced by FATRA Chropyně under the brand Durofol ® are not produced any more. Corporation FATRA Chropyně finished on the date 31.12.2009 production of those hard non-softened PVC foils. Whole assortment of PVC foils DUROFOL® were replaced by comparable imported certified materials from other producers.
Technical and food non-softened PVC Durofol
Non-softened foils are suitable for the production of technical and food products, which are mechanically deformed by vacuum or overpressure. These are mainly pots, trays, bowls and other technical transportation offsets and blisters. Foil, which found many applications in manufacturing, are widely used for the manufacture of some school facilities.
Food non-softened PVC films
Non-softened, healthy PVC foils with food atest are suitable for production of covers determined for contact with food and dishes, further for production of covers for medicamens and school and office supplies. Foils do not contain any phtalate or heavy metals.
Temperature tolerance of hard PVC foils
Non-softened foils PVC can be used without relevant changes of properties in intervals of temperatus −5 až +40 °C. During temperatures under 0°C material becomes teder and products made of them must be during manipulation protected against crash or mechanical stress.
Chemical toletance of hard PVC foils
Foils are resistant against most of anorganic acid (for example HCl, HF, H2SO4) and alkalia (for example. NaOH, KOH), if they do not have oxidative effects. In organic acid (for example. HCOOH, CH3COOH) in elevated temperature (over 40 °C) strongly swell..
Foils resist to paraffinic hydrocarbons, alcohols and water. In etyl chloride, toluene, styrene, benzene, chlorbenzene and ketone foils well or they dissolve.
Good dissolution reagents of foils are for example tetrahydrofurane, cyklohexanone or mixture of acetone with tetrahydrofurane.
Fire technical characterization of hard PVC foils
-
ignition temperature at least 420 oC according to ČSN 64 0149
-
flash temperature at least 340 oC according to ČSN 64 0149
-
heating power maximum 26 MJ.kg-1 according to ČSN ISO 1928
-
fire class A according to ČSN EN 2
Suitable suppresant are in gassy phase (for example CO2, INERGEN), powder suppresand for class A,B (fire extinguishe with powder for fire class B). While fire extinguishing of larger fire is necessary to use breathing apparatus in area with dangerous fouling. Bigger fire are possible to extinguish by water.
What to do with waste from PVC foil
-
Group 07 02 - waste from manufacturing, procession, distribution and using of plastic.
-
Recycling is possible after elimination of impurity.
-
Energy usage during temperatures 1100oC with succesive washing of burnt gas.

Tough PVC foil for cut FATRA
PVC foils are produced in different colours from transparent to rich colours with different degree of toughness, dead, glossy with design. Foils in design SA have increased toughness and are suitable for another manufacturing at sector machines.
Ecological properties of hard PVC foils
Non-softened - certified food hard PVC foil do not contain any phthalate or heavy metals.
They are suitable for technical and food usage. (certificate according to the law number 258/2000 Sb. and regulations MZd. č. 38/2001 Sb., European instructions and directives BGA).
